Rented a log splitter for the weekend and worked like a charm!

Sorry…long horrible story…..
I rented a mini excavator which was almost brand new when it was delivered by a tow truck operator!
He unloaded it and showed me most of the controls…a couple he didn’t know what they did but he said “sorry…I’m just a tow truck driver”
Then he presented the forms to be signed.
“Sign here, here, and here” so of course I did (never again!)
I asked for a copy but he said because of covid 19 I don’t get a paper copy but they will email me one.

Well, I had an accident and rolled the machine on it’s side and it continued to run for 10 seconds before I could shut it down. Between that and restarting it too soon after righting it the engine was damaged.

I was charged over $5000 for engine repairs and a full month rental while it was out of service.
SURPRISE!!!
NO INSURANCE!

They don’t offer insurance and my home policy didn’t cover it….and of course I didn’t take the time to read the contract when it was delivered so I didn’t know that.

Colin was pleasant enough…and technically gave me a break in that they didn’t charge me for the initial 2 day rental….only after I negotiated a little….but they still added the $12 for diesel!!!

So…good people…but they just don’t care about you…just their bottom line.

Excellent service. I was grateful for advice and a lesson in how to operate the equipment I was renting. There was a small glitch but it was well solved. I will happily rent here again.
