Ordered a part may 30th 2017 it is now Aug 16th 2017 and still no part. Been getting the run around for almost 3 months.
I ordered an RV refrigeration cooling unit for my fridge & did not receive it.
I ordered on line, from Arcticold Refrigeration
on July 17th. a refrigeration cooling unit for my fridge, & as of today, I have not received the unit. The item originally cost $630. I received a phone call from them the next day after my order & they said that the order that I placed was in Canadian dollars .& that the total now would be $959.37 in Canadian funds. I approved the new total & said to go ahead with my order & was told that it would take 3-5 business days for me to get it, which I was alright with. After several days I made several calls & emails to them, with not one reply, as to where it was. I do have the dates & times of most of the calls & emails sent to them. I actually did get to speak to a Robert on Aug.2 & he personally told me that I did have an older model fridge, so it will be a little longer in getting our part. I told him, as long as we had it for our holidays on Aug. 18th. He reassured me that I would. I have not had any return phone calls or emails from them. My son, said that I should have done some research on them before I ordered it, as they are not a very good company. Why is such a company allowed to keep advertising & ripping off seniors like ourselves & everyone else? We are at a loss. I phone my MasterCard & they couldn’t do anything for us. They said that is has been over a month. I did get a hold of the BBB & so far nothing from them either.
My experience with this company after the sale has been horrendous. Bought a cooling unit for a Norcold 1200. Arrived late, professionally installed, never really cooled (installed in the winter). When summer arrived, it was God awful. Had local RV tech’s look at it and they informed me that I was lucky I didn’t burn down my RV and stated it has a blockage and was seriously overheating. Notified the company, lifetime warranty “right”, nothing has happened in over 5 months. Don’t return calls, don’t respond to emails, contacted Canadian Consumer affairs, about as worthless. If you shop with these guys, do so in your own peril. Steve Cormier and his son Matt are rip off artist in opinion. Stay clear… Norcold isn’t any better.
I see they finally closed the online store ! I had the same problem as the others. I contacted my visa co. It took the typical 90 days, but I got back every dime. Don’t fall for the B/S and wait like I did. I also hope I helped close It!! With it being outside the USA I contacted there local authorities and turned them in for fraud. Also I filed a complaint against them with the Federal trade commission. IF you have had these problems? I suggest you do the same.
My father ordered a cooling unit in Aug. 2017 and paid with his credit card. A month later I called to find out if unit had been shipped. I was informed the invoice had just been sent to the warehouse. We are now into Nov. 2017 still no unit and have not been able to reach them by phone. Yet they got the $425. I guess my next step is The Better Business Bureau.
