Excellent service but food is not as good as other reviews, fish and prawn over cooked

This place is amazing. I’ve never had anything other than a great experience here. The food is delicious and the staff are relaxed, genuine and very friendly/helpful. The prices aren’t cheap, but they’re not too expensive either and, based on the quality, I find the value is quite good.

Asteras is easily among the best restaurants in Nanaimo.

We had a very nice outing with family last night. The servers were so amazing and kind and very attentive to our table. It was my first time here and I’d definitely go back again. And the food was wonderful. Peter also continued to check with us throughout our meal. Thank you Peter and Una for a wonderful experience. We will be back soon.

Wow. Favorite place ever!! The vibe of this restaurant makes you want to travel. The staff are so kind, courteous and genuine. The employees remember all 20 of the specials everyday and know what all of the servings taste like, to give excellent recommendations. I’d easily give this place 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend!! Super super cute.
