For my experience as an employee, the training leaves a lot to be desired. The first day I arrive, I start at the cash register, but no training on how to handle difficult customers, no training on the policy adopted when there is a gasoline theft or when an error throws the cash register out of balance, know if we must or not pay for the fault committed and many other things. What I learned, I learned almost, to put it mildly, totally on the job. I have also never had a private mid-training meeting with the manager to find out what I was doing right or wrong overall since I was hired. The assistant manager had held me responsible for having moved the propane key, while there was a shift before me and the day before the keys were indeed in their place. And finally, icing the sundae, one day I made my shift from 7 to 3 as usual and around 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. the assistant manager came to tell me that I was making too many mistakes at the cash desk, that I had to give him back my uniform and my name and that I would be paid for my hours. Do you call it a great work experience ??? 🙃🙃
