Delicious fish and chips cooked perfectly, and my lunch companion had the onion rings which were fantastic. There was an issue with one of our lunches and they took care of it right away

It was amazing we had the 4 piece perch and 1/2 order chips omg it was the best ever and then for dessert we had a blueberry crepe it was worth the money

Small restaurant, but not small in flavour. Fish and chips were great, very light batter. The coleslaw is awesome, very tasty.

Best fish & chips in all of Southern Ontario. The portions are perfect, the batter is light and crispy, the fries are excellent. I have been eating at Parkdale Fish & Chips for over 35 years. I have had many other offerings from places in Niagara Falls, St.Catherines, Welland, London, Sarnia and even Cape Breton Island(shockingly the food was very poor on the island). None hold a candle to Parkdale, hands down. The closest competition is The Wharf in Sarnia. They also are really good but Parkdale has a larger selection of fish and sides. Their coffee is great too! The interior of the restaurant is a bit dated but I don’t come here for the ambiance, I come here for the delicious fish, and that they do better than anyone else.

This review is based on take out and my brief encounter with staff. Due to COVID rules, only one person is allowed at the “take out” area, then you’re asked to step outside. Once your order is ready, your name will be called on the PA system. The older gentleman taking my order was friendly, outgoing and explained the catch of the day option to me. The restaurant was clean and the same can be said about the bathroom I asked to use.

I’ve had terrible fish and chips experiences several times in Hamilton (to the point where I’m giving hope) and even though this was takeout and about 15 minutes until I got to eating.. the fish was perfectly cooked and the batter was not overly thick and still had a bit of ‘crisp’ to it. The fries were perfect (not salted.. as a matter of fact you’ve got to salt everything if salt is your thing) size and cooked. I dislike it when you get MASSIVE cut fries, thats almost raw and soggy from grease inside – which seems to be the norm in Hamilton.

5 stars with confidence! Next time I’ll dine in to get the real crisp.
