Drove 1 + hrs to Ottawa from Cornwall taking someone to general hospital. Figured I had time to go to the Apple store at Rideau center . Ineeded to get them to unlock a brand new ipad. No one in line, great so far. Then i wax introduced to 3 different employees outside store . Finally got the right one to see if they’d help me. Everything went downhill fast. The gentleman at the door was arrogant and may as well been a robot.
He informed me I needed an appointment. I said I tried but they don’t answer their phone. I asked if I could simply drop it off as I had to get back to the cancer clinic at general. Too bad he says, you need an appointment. He offered me one that was 11/2 hrs away. I couldn’t stay. I was EXTREMELY frustrated. I the took my brand new ipad and broke it and left it at the store. I left. Thanks Apple, at 66 yrs old I don’t travel mulch.I would have had to return. .Some advise: Just put a robot outside, save the co. some$$$. POOR customer service is putting it mildly.

Hard to find good managers at this place. I feel like it’s always someone who is extremely unpleasant to deal with. Apple customers like me who invested most of their income in apple products take bad service personally.

Very nice workers, perfect system set up for shoppers to go in and out safely without contact with other people.

The quality of the service chaged a lot after Covid. You will need to book an appointment before visiting otherwise you will find a long waiting list. The staff are not as nice unless your going to buy a product. Avoid getting an advice in the store and better to order a head and go for pick up directly.
