My original review from months ago was 5 stars but simply “Great burgers, awesome service”. But after an incident I had last night I must extend it to “Great burgers, awesome service, best employees in the industry”. As they truly care for their customers.

Long story short, Uber Eats did not bring my order complete after a considerable long wait, I called the place and the person who took my call, while being so busy receiving guests and handling reception, took the time to understand the situation, investigate the problem, and despite not being their fault, told me my missing burger would be delivered in a few minutes.

In about 15 mins I got it. She personally drove all the way up to my place (11 Kms) and on top of that apologized (when it was clearly not her fault) and gave me an extra side and slice of pie. For me that is not only a great example of Service Recovery but also of how the people in the company is willing to give the extra mile. Something that it is (and should always be) very much appreciated, especially in this times of COVID-19.

Thank you guys for the effort you are putting into this. I would give you 6 starts if I could. Not way I am changing the rating Big Rig Kitchen as my favourite place in its kind in this Town.

Visited earlier this evening with hopes of picking up their new Gingerbread beer. This location didn’t carry it, I guess it’s only available at the main brewery in Kanata? Was disappointed as I drove over an hour each way to visit. French onion soup was good, although portion size felt more like a side dish than an appetizer, I agree with other reviewers that portion
size to cost ratio is not ideal. This place was definitely understaffed, only one server to tend to patrons, delivery drivers coming in to pickup orders, takeout customers, etc. Server was friendly although clearly overwhelmed, and I don’t blame them having spent several years working in food service/hospitality myself. Next time I will avoid the restaurant locations and visit the main brewery.

Portions were small for the price. More so the portion of sweet potato fries was less then a handful. The burger tasted great but was on the small side. The beer was also a bit on the warm side.

Cool beers, nice place. Wish I was in it when it was really busy I think it would be a lively atmosphere with some sport on.

Took a while to get food, but when it got to us it was good and wholesome. The bill also took a while to come too, although there was a problem with the machine.

Reasonably priced. Could probably make more effort on the outdoor patio. Looked a bit of an after thought.

Will definitely go back as a local.
