I visited Bluedog Guitars with a friend who ended up purchasing a nice Martin acoustic from them. The owners are very friendly and knowledgable and they have a good selection of acoustics as well as other nice equipment. If you are looking for something of quality, give them a call and make an appointment to visit them!

Just wanted to thank Jenn and Paul for opening your doors to myself and my colleague. Paul was just so kind and knowledgeable in accommodating us, it was a real pleasure of an experience.

Your shop is a place of guitar wonders and to be able to play some of those instruments is such a privilege. You’ve created a wonderful haven of fine instruments, including some real local gems, and for two guys who love playing guitar and all the music it creates it was a ton of fun. It was 15 years ago the last time I was in Vancouver. I was impressed by the cleanliness, kindness, beauty and overall quality of the area. The past several months, I was toying with the idea of buying a production dreadnaught guitar. After nearly pulling the trigger on a factory Martin from a big box guitar store, I decided to back up and find a ‘cannon’ micro-builder dread instead and help support a small shop. One finds they get more for their money going in this direction.
Bluedog Guitars had just what I was looking for. A David Webber made special addition guitar. After a restless end of the week and weekend, the guitar made it to my home, practically at the other end of North America. The packaging was installed by an expert, and the guitar was unharmed by the travel.
Thank you to Paul for speaking with me for nearly an hour internationally. After unpacking the guitar and playing it a while, I had to set it down in order to process it’s power, articulation, and elegance. I am lucky to have discovered Paul and Jenn, and am glad that there are people out there taking on the endeavor of purveying expert level crafted guitars.

If you are looking for high quality acoustic guitars then you would be completely insane to look anywhere else after finding this place. The store is like something out of a fairy tale and is truly an experience just going in there for a visit. This is the kind of place that I thought didn’t exist anymore but was proven wrong immediately after entering. All the staff are great and Jenn is an extremely kind and helpful lady. Paul was also lovely and was very helpful in letting me try several guitars. These people know their guitars better than nearly anyone I’ve met! Their selection is incredible and you can tell that they have the philosophy of never carrying anything but the best of the best of quality. Some guitars in here sound like something out a dream.

Do yourself a favor in life and take a visit to Bluedog when you are able. It’s worth whatever effort it takes to get to them in the rare times they are open.
