Have ordered twice from skip the dishes and have been beyond impressed both times. Awesome bang for your buck, great flavour (we love spicy and it definitely doesn’t disappoint). Will definitely keep reordering!

Tasted okay. Portion is wayyyy too small for a chinese takeout place. Cost me $34 for two dishes.

Chen’s customer service is phenomenal and the food is very good. If you want great food, I recommend the beef and broccoli, hot and spicy chicken wings, curry chicken, and spicy green pepper fried bean sprout with egg (trust me on the last two). I ordered Chen’s from DoorDash and my “Dasher” never brought me the food. This happened twice. Ryan from Chen’s got my number from DoorDash and called me since DoorDash wasn’t answering his calls nor was my dasher. He told me my food was sitting there and he was concerned it was going to spoil. I told him I would come and pick it up since they don’t have delivery, but he insisted that he bring the food to me himself because of my negative experience, which had nothing to do with him or Chen’s, it was all DoorDash who hadn’t delivered. Anyway, Ryan was amazing, the food at Chen’s is best Chinese by far that I’ve had in Waterloo, and you just can’t beat that kind of care and service–he even refused to take a tip from me and said that making people happy is what they do. What a great guy! 5 stars all the way for Chen’s!

Fried race was great, but the chicken did not taste that good. Quantity is amazing for the price.

Great food at a good price.

We had the Sweet & Sour Chicken, and the Hunan fried beef. The order was prepared promptly and the food was delicious. I enjoyed the chicken dish but I will skip on the Hunan Beef next time. It was mostly just spicy with little flavor. It might just be a taste preference, so I am not faulting them for it.

Will come and try this place again with some other dishes and update the review.
