would not even take a pair of shoes for repair, said there was nothing that could be done when all that happened was the heel separated, the shank was still intact.

Edit: to add to the reply, I was fair I have had this issue fixed in the past in other cities without it rebreaking, you just don’t know how…

Do not try to turn me into the villain by claiming “I am not fair”. Your business, your actions, I just responded with a review. If you will not even take the work what else do you expect?

When we collected them, he showed us what he’d done and we were blown away. The quality of the work was 1st class and all of the shoes were polished and looked fabulous. I want to like and support this place since I live in the neighbourhood. Brought a pair of expensive jeans to be hemmed, which should be the simplest job to a place that does alterations. To my surprise, they completely botched the job, which I didn’t think it was possible from a shop that charges you money for the service. The stitchings were all over the place, the hem was completely crooked, looked like someone’s first attempt at sewing. Apparently the person has been doing it for decades, which is even more surprising. It is without exaggerations that it was the worst job I have ever gotten. Long story short, I took them back to let them know that it’s unacceptable. The person working there reluctantly acknowledged that it wasn’t a good job, after a lot of excuses. No refund (even though I wouldn’t care for one, it was $10) but he offered to fix it himself. I declined and went somewhere else. Someone who doesn’t own up to and see an obvious mistake, in my opinion, doesn’t deserve to be trusted for a second chance. I would not recommend them for repairs, which is a shame because I so want to support this local business.
