Food was amazing, service was horrible. The server spilt water all over our table, saw it and just left it. No cutlery, we had to ask for things multiple times. Drinks took forever. The two locals with me said “it’s always like this” and then I come and read the reviews and it says the same. Do better.

What a treat! My wife and I visited today for lunch. Everything was fresh, local, and made from scratch. The curry parsnip soup tasted like a holiday. The borsch was tangy and sweet. I had one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever tasted, and even the coleslaw was excellent! When was the last time you said “mmm, I’d like some more of that coleslaw!” We’ll definitely be making it a regular spot to visit.

Food was great but the service was very off putting. We walked in on Sunday February 21 at 12:55pm. We were greeted right away and told they closed at 2pm. It caught us off guard like we were unwelcome. We waited for a long time to have our orders taken even though it wasn’t busy. Finally the blonde bartender took our order seeing as she wasn’t doing anything else. The cook in the kitchen didn’t wear a mask . You could see his glasses on and he sported a beard . The food was really good otherwise. We watched a trio come in at 1:25 but they were chased out due to the 2pm rule. Seems odd to chase away business in these times. In response to your theory that the cook wore a clear plastic mask I can assure you that was not the case as we had a clear line of sight and watched him put a face mask on every time he stepped out of the kitchen. We were there for an hour and had time to be 100% sure.

Outstanding steak sandwich, the sourdough bread was unreal, adding a great texture and. Can standup to the steak, the mushrooms and caramelized onions added delicious refinement to the dish, the steak was flavourful, well seasoned and the butter melting on top when it served was a classy touch. All local sourced ingredients made it even better. My new pit stop when I’m passing through Moose Jaw!

Not sure if the Cornerstone has new owners/management but the entire place has been revamped. All I can say was that it was REAL good. Fresh food. Very tasty. Friendly staff. Definitely not the old Cornerstone, which was also good, very different and even better. Thanks
