This review is difficult for me to write, because I don’t like reviewing negatively, especially after the situation has been addressed.
Firstly, Megan was an amazing lash tech and my first set lasted three weeks without even losing 50%. The lashes were so fluffy and voluminous and they defined my eyes so beautifully. She had a wonderful attitude and it was lovely to spend time on her table.
Secondly, the studio itself is gorgeous. It has a gorgeous waiting room. It is spacious and laid out well enough for multiple people to get their lashes done at once. The music was always great and the temperature was comfortable.
My sister visited Megan for her first set and Anisa for her fill. They were both great, but definitely different styles of lashes. Megan’s were more wispy and fluffy, and Anisa’s were more voluminous and dramatic. She was happy with both.
I am very frustrated because I genuinely thought that I found a permanent lash studio, but I had two bad experiences back to back that has altered this opinion. In a time where customer service and a positive attitude is crucial, I felt like I received a lot of attitude from both Anisa and her sister on two separate occasions. There was a lot of miscommunication and an unprofessional attitude relayed from both of them. The first time it happened, I gave the business the benefit of the doubt, as everyone has bad days. The second time it happened, I thought it was extremely unacceptable, as I am spending my time and money choosing to support this business. I was working both days when they tried to call me to communicate an issue about my appointment, and they called me a total of seven times over two days. I understand that they were just trying to contact me so that I didn’t show up without an appointment, but when they were leaving voicemails and texting my personal line, the language used was quite forceful and unprofessional. Again, I want to establish that they were simply trying to avoid an issue, but the way that this was handled was not as respectful as I think it should have been.
When I brought this issue up to Anisa, she was responsive and apologetic, and reassured me that there was no intent of negative energy or attitude. I appreciate her trying to diffuse the situation, but it was completely unavoidable and the fact that it happened two times from two different people shows me that this was not just a mistake.
Both my sister and I, and two of our friends who had previously visited the studio, were planning on going back until these issues happened and will not be returning. We will choose to go somewhere where we are respected as guests.
