Have the rules changed?

I remember when libraries were a place for peaceful reading and studying – apparently it is now acceptable to talk on your phone and share your conversation with everyone around you, tutor students at full volume and generally carry on as if you’re at a coffee shop.

While this library is beautiful to look at, if you’re searching for a place to study in peace, this isn’t it.

Nice, quiet, and spacious library to get things done, friendly staff as well. Hard to find a seat sometimes.

Great place to find a book or find a nook.

Great Place to focus and get your things done as needed.
You can get a PC access for 1-2 hours depending how busy it gets. The staff is pleasant and helpful, lots of tables and room to study and concentrate.

Get yourself a North Van Library Card and enjoy all the resources you’re given.
P.S. 3 hours free parking downstairs is a great bonus.

Nice library, needs more table and chairs. Unless you come early it’s hard to find a spot, especially if you need to charge. Also not open Mondays! Caught me out again 😭 Also I’m not picky about noise but the tutoring at full talking volume is annoyingly distracting and after school time groups of kids just hanging out and chatting like they’re in a cafe
