Have been to this place more than 5 times. Food is nice. But ambience is nice as one can enjoy time with their friends. Price is reasonable. With few bucks you can have more things on your plate. In all we are actually killing the bill with so much to eat and drink. Heads up !
This place is fairly priced. It is a good place for a fun nightout. The dishes are very attractive and well presented. We were very impressed with the quick service. They are quiet informative about what they serve and also helped us in ordering few of the best things in the menu. Highly recommended place and pocket friendly too.
Tons of vegan food options 🌱💚🌱! The staff are super friendly and very appreciative! I will definitely be a repeat customer :) So far my favorite is the Vada Pav dish, soooo tasty. I am very excited to try more!
We eat a lot of Indian food and have eaten at vinnies at least 6 times. I typically don’t leave a less than positive review unless I have had several less than positive experiences.
Soooo….
Last night we ordered several dishes.
An order of samosas was $4 for two. I regularly order a dozen samosas from a place on Inkster (jas) and they are $ 7 for a dozen and far better.
We ordered beef vindaloo for $17. Not a lot of beef in there for $17. Taste.? Not great, very strong vinegar taste.
Also ordered vinnies special chicken curry which amounted to 3 drumsticks in a lot of sauce for $15. Taste was ok.
Navratan(vegetable) korma was $15. Sauce was very thin and not creamy the way it typically is. Also that strong vinegar taste. Very disappointing.
Overall feeling it is quite overpriced for what we got as far as quantity of food and quality.
Value 2 /5
Quality 2/ 5
This is Selkirk I guess and there are no other options except take out from Winnipeg.
Wonderful restaurant run by wonderful people. I would recommend the butter chicken, the chicken vindaloo, and trying a very unique experience, the Thali. We have found the food here very different than the northern Indian food found in most restaurants in Winnipeg. Just keep that in mind and be up for an adventure. We have found some new flavours and that is a bit of a rarity for us. We look forward to continuing to explore their menu
